hi people,
I have been trying to make an avi file which is like 130 - 150MB (DIVX) out of the MPG movies i have, but i always end up having the avi file which is somewhere like 500mb. I am using virtualdub to convert the mpg to avi. I have all the codecs also installed.
Any help in this regard is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Sorry if this is already obvious to you, but have you changed the compression settings? Go to Video_Compression and Audio_Compression. For Video, pick your codec then hit the 'configure' button on the right side of the window. I typically choose 455 kilobits per second for divx (half the default). For Audio, pick your codec (I use Divx WMA V2), then select the desired rate on the right (arounds 8 kb/sec is fine).
Hope this helps.
