    i have a dvd of an old movie .. and i would like to convert this dvd to vcd to play it on a standalone vcd player ... how do i do that without losing much quality

    am sorry if this is in the wrong section

    Easiest way I know to do that is to use dvd2svcd. Once you get it set up it is pretty much a one click operation.
