I was able to successfully install some other codecs (HuffYUV, Indeo) but after installing Koepi's XviD Codec 1.2 1.2 2007 and a few other implimentations of the XVID codec on my old computer after doing a clean install of Windows 98, including DirectX 9c, it doesn't show up in VirtualDub's codec list and I can't open a XVID encoded .avi file in VirtualDub. I can play the movie in WMP 6.4 though.
I looked in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32 and the entry looks right (vidc.XVID "xvidvfw.dll").
Any ideas about this?

Any other of the vidc entries look wrong? None of my compiles are tested under windows 9x, but I don't recall hearing of any other issues.
