    is batch encoding possible with ffmpegx? and if so how do you set it up, this would be for mpeg1/vcd's. or is it possible to have ffmpegx save out some sort of droplet like compressor for mpeg1/vcd's? thanks

    It's not batch processing, but have you tried the queueing system? You have to choose a preset for each file (save a preset if it's not a standard one), which is a bit of a hassle, but nothing major (no pun intended :P)

    Hi all, I also think a dropplet option or an applescript compatible orders would make the difference. Maybe the posibility to select a folder of movies to convert would be nice too.
    Anyway, the program is wonderful, nice and robust.
