TV series don't differ from any other type of content, when it comes to converting them to Video DVD.
Easy solution: use convertx2dvd, put like 2 hours worth on a DVD-5
Hard solution: Look up whatever file format the episodes is in under CONVERT left (??? to DVD), encode each episode to DVD specs MPG (making sure you set the bitrate allowing you the # of episodes /DVD you want) and author.

In many cases, it's easier to just buy the DVD set when released. Or rent it and watch it. Or wait for re-runs.

...or watch it on your computer.
Perhaps hooked to your TV via TV Out (if your GFX card has TV out).

If you have a DivX/XviD player, you could probably fit these 14 episodes onto two Data DVDs without having to do anything to the downloaded files.

Many Ifs. If the OP could shed some more light on what he/she has, perhaps more specific suggestions may come forward?

Hi,
I don't want to hijack the thread so I hope it's ok to post here...I think I'm having a similar problem.
I'm trying to burn a DVD consisting of downloaded TV eps in XVID format using Nero Burning Rom.
However, when I add the fle to Nero it increases from approx 349MB to over 2.5GB meaning I can only get one 40min programme on to a DVD
I assume I have to convert the file to something but I'm not sure what and don't particularly want to turn it into a data DVD
Any suggestions? Really grateful for any help or advice
Thanks,

Don't use Nero for DVD conversion - it is rubbish.
Space = running time x bitrate - universal rule for digital video.
mpeg2 requires a higher bitrate than mpeg4 to maintain the same quality, so the size is larger. As a general rule, allow for 3 - 4 times the size.
I would put a maximum of 4 episodes of 4 minutes length to a single sided DVD, assuming they are the general quality of 350MB downloads. ConvertXtoDVD will do this a damn sight better than Nero.
Use Imgburn 2 to burn the results to DVD.Read my blog here.
