I've been backing up my dvd's for a while using ffmpegx 0.0.9x and everything has been going ok. I usually use the same settings (not through a preset) but manually doing them. The movie in question is "The Good Shepherd". For the record I haven't had any problems with any other movies purchased recently. When I backup my DVD to VOB (not using ffmpegx) files the audio is fine and will play with no problems. When using ffmpegx for this movie with either a passthrough codec or AC3 codec with the same settings as the source files I get to about 12 minutes into the movie or so then the audio is just static. Then will resume normally at other parts and then become static at other parts of the movie. Playing back the movie at the same location based on the time stamp via the VOB files and the audio is fine.
Any ideas as to what the problem could be since there isn't much settings for audio?
