I'm at a net cafe. I tried to make a .avi video with Vegas 7.0. When i was done with it and tried to render it with as Video for Windows ( .avi ) it giaves me this error:

( That i dont have the right codecs. ) I tried almost everything.. Like download X-Vid codecs, AVI codecs etc. But nothing happens. Same error all the time
Any solution for this problem please?
Thanks in advance,
EbolaGR

Video For Windows (.avi) is just selecting a container (.avi) for your video. You then have click on Custom to select the actual codec you will use, and then configure it.
The first error message usually comes about when you are encoding a 2 pass encode with Xvid or Divx, and try to do the second pass before doing the analysis.
The second is obvious, however without knowing exactly what codecs you have chosen and how you have configured them, it is difficult to give you any specific details on a fix.Read my blog here.

Ok thank you. I will try first pass and then the second. I will post details in some hours..
