i finally got my dvdx1.6 and tmpgenc to ecode a dvd to mpg file. i borned it to a cdrw disk and everything went fine. 2 questions or problems im having. the sound is crackeling and popping what can i do? the second is that it wont play on my vcd player...samsung 611. i checked the list and it should be compatable, it says"no disk" i know thats a common problem. but should your burned cdrom automatically play on your computer without going to windows player and look up the .dat file. is there an auto play system or what?

to Fix you cracking sound go back to version 1.5a and the current on Version 1.7 still has the problem and maybe you DVD Player cannot read the CDR Brand you used for it and as for the Windows Media Player there is no way i think but you can download QuickVCD and it use Windows Media Player to Play the VCDs
