    I am currently having major issues trying to make the correct connections on my home tv set up. This is What I have: Some old tv that needs an RF modulator (getting a new tv in 2 months)
    On the RF Modulator it has a tv in and a tv out, an s-video and 1 set of composites
    Then I have a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8000 dvr Set top box and finally a LG DR787T dvd recorder.
    Basically what I want is to record from the dvr to the dvd recorder but I cannot figure out for the life of me what is wrong with the connections. Thank you

    Could you please try a less general title to your thread, like "Problems hooking up my home TV setup"?

    Thank you!

    Why the LG Unit
    You have a 8000 DVR that should do basically the same as the LG
    What are you trying to do?

    What inputs are avil. for the TV [only RF]. that seems by your post to be tempory

    Is stero your goal?
    The RF output on the 8000 is mono.
    Are all the outputs on the LG stero
    Does the modular have other inputs besides the RF

    Try SA8000-> S-Video and RCA Audio -> LG DR787T
    and
    LG DR787T-> S-Video and RCA Audio -> Modulator -> RF Ch3 -> TV

    If you don't have S-Video cable, use composite (RCA Yellow)

    All this changes with the new TV.

    As I said What are you trying to do.-- What are your Major Issues
    If to record material that is CP protected the LG in the system, will not alow it and could cause, no picture
