  1. I would like to convert an DivX AVI-file from 23.97 fps to 25fps (PAL). I'm using VirtualDub as frameserver to resize and for subtitling. For encoding I use TMPGenc. I've already tried to convert the framerate using VirtualDub, but the subtitling and the audio gets out of sync, so I think I should do it using TMPGEnc, but I don't know how. Anybody any tips?

  2. Hi,

I will assume that you have the audio demuxed from the video.

Try to encode with the Tmpgenc, and after use the Film2Pal utility
    http://www.dvd-digest.net/downloads/files/encode/frame_convert.zip

Recalculate the time duration of the video by dividing the number of frames by 25, it will be ~4% less than original.

After you need to compress the sound (reduce the duration time of the sound to match the higher frame rate) to match the value above, use some audio tool like Sound Forge.
    Reencode audio.
Finally mux the video and audio.
