    hi im newbie here ,seek guidance from you guys here.I have an animation project file,that already done in Pal format.The problems here is I need to sent for client reviewing and he wants it in NTSC format.So how can i do it?heard about pull dowm etc...mind to share...thanks..

  2. Assuming this PAL video is progressive 25fps, there are 2 main ways to do the conversion:

    1. Resize to 720x480, keep the framerate at 25fps when reencoding, keep the audio length unchanged, and apply DGPulldown for 25->29.97fps.

    2. Resize to 720x480, change the framerate to 23.976fps by reencoding to 23.976fps (after slowing the video and not by dropping a frame every second), and apply standard 3:2 pulldown afterwards, and slowing/lengthening the audio as well.

    If the PAL source video is interlaced, either deinterlace it and then follow steps one or two, or use AVISynth to add duplicate fields properly to bring the framerate up to interlaced 29.97fps and do a proper resize to 720x480.
