I'd like to archive home videos, but I know that in the future I'm going to want to access the video to do some editing. I'm trying to decide between archiving in MPG2 and archiving in DivX. I'm still undecided. I know that Premiere doesn't allow MPG2 imports, but I thought it did for DivX... I am quite sure I remember dragging a DivX to the timeline and being happy, but it doesn't work anymore. I thought it would just need the codec. I know I have the codec installed because the clip plays in WMP.
Thanks in advance for any help.
