    i want to know what the best software is to copy dvd to my hard drive so i can watch the video's on my pc.

    That depends on how much room you want to use for them. If you decrypt them and copy directly, most commercial DVDs will take up about 7GB or more. Better may be to decrypt them and use a freeware program like DVD Shrink, and you can reduce them to about 4.5GB. They should still be in DVD format, with menus intact, depending on your settings.

    Or if you need them smaller, with some loss in quality, but more than enough for PC use, try a program like AutoGK or FairUse Wizard and reduce them in size to 700MB, or for better quality, about 1.5GB. They will be in Xvid or Divx format and no menus or DVD structure, just the main movie. This takes longer than DVD Shrink, but you can store many more videos this way.
