Hehe, I got myself into a little bit of trouble. Not legal, just administrative. A friend of mine is a (ahem) "follower" of a certain motivational speaker who I won't name. The speaker has weekly 30 minute TV shows. Unfortunately, those shows seem to air only in the deep South (USA). Anyhow, she asked me if I could find any of his shows "on the net." So, the first place I went was to the speaker's website.
Mind you, this guy "sells" his 30-minute shows on DVD for about $15 a pop. And, he apparently makes quite a killing on them. But, his site also provides links to video podcasts of his shows ... with archives dating back into early 2006. He also encourages people to download them for free. So, I downloaded 3 of his podcasts and, immediately, noticed they were very high quality MP4 videos. And, using my Canopus ProCoder software, I was able to flawlessly convert these MP4 videos into DVD-ready MPEG2 files.
There's an area on his website where visitors can leave personal "reviews" of his shows. So, I left something like this:
At the time I posted my review, there were two other reviews besides mine. But, within six hours of posting that review, ALL reviews of his podcasts were deleted (snicker) and the ability for anyone to leave a "review" of them was suspended.Thank you so much for allowing site visitors to freely download podcasts of your shows. The quality of your MP4 videos is beyond excellent. In a test of my Canopus ProCoder software, I found I was able to flawlessly convert them to DVD-ready MPEG2 files. So, I downloaded ALL OF THEM (snicker) and will be burning them to DVDs for my own personal use. Thank you so much for providing free access to this programming.
Ain't I a stinker, hehe.
P.S. BTW, the podcasts themselves are still online ... for now, anyway, hehe. They reside at PodFeed.net along with the podcasts of several persons in several topic areas. Might be a good idea to give them a visit to see if there's a podcast you might want to watch (or download and convert).
