I use ConvertXtoDvd to convert to dvd and always have, and recently whilst 30/40% of the way thru the conversion my PC restarts,
does anybody know why ?
i have installd the newest version of the software to see if it would help but it did not help
any help appriacated

Can you describe your system , CPU, memory amount, OS, etc?
Overheating due to dirt heatsink, fans, etc?

here is my pc spek i have removed my product code for security reasons
didnt know wether i should show it or not ???
and my pc has 114 GB hard drive with over 20 GB free

It certainly sounds temperature related, encoding is very CPU intensive and is guaranteed to push the CPU temperature up. Most motherboards have an auto shutdown in case the CPU gets too hot, this is to prevent damage.
It could be dust in the CPU fan, causing it to cool less efficiently, or the fan could be slowing down, on it's way to failing completely.
Check all your fans, including any case fans. -
The most likely cause is overheating, so the PC shuts itself down for protection. A simple test is to remove the cover from the case, point a small desk fan into the guts, and run your conversion again. If it completes, heating is your problem and you need to clean the dust out and perhaps get a better cooling system.
If the conversion fails, the next area I would look into is ram.Read my blog here.
