    I'm thinking of building an HTPC, and using that to store media files (dvds, Xvid, Divx, mp3s, etc), and have them stream to an HDTV.

    I don't have a need for recording whatsoever, only viewing/listening.

    But what I would like to do is to be able to control this media with a remote, not a mouse. If I'm on the couch I don't want to be going to the computer...it doesn't look as slick as a remote.

    What are my options for this?
