  3. You have to decrpt the vob files to you hard drive first. You will never be able to do a DVD Copy like a CD Copy. Then you need authoring software to build the DVD. THen burn.

I use Smartripper and only decode the English AC3, No Subtitles and I can easy fit a 2 hour movie on a 4.7 gig DVD-RW.

Forget the extras. Unless its that important to you and its a short movie.

  4. Yes, I am having the same problem, I can extract the .vobs to my hard drive, but whenever i try to get it to burn its says theres an error with the file, or its not a valid movie file, etc. With Nero, it asks if id like to re-encode it or something like that, so if anyone could tell me of a program that i could do it with id appreciate it.

  8. Be sure that when DVD2AVI is making your .d2v file that it is also making your .wav file of the movie. THIS is your audio file. However, if you're making a DVD, you want to keep them seperate anyway until you author the movie.

  9. The best procedure(s) I have seen so far to make a DVD-R is at "www.doom9.org/mpg/dvd/dvdr-guides.htm" very clear and concise. My only problem now is to get a stand-alone DVD player that will really read DVD-R. I'm using a Pioneer A03 and Toshiba SD-3750.
