When I access websites with video clips on them the videos often don't show. On another computer I have those same videos work just fine. One example is at this site:

    http://www.marleyturned.com/id99.htm

Can anyone tell me what I don't have installed on my computer that prevents me seeing these video clips? I have no idea what format the video clips are or how to tell.

    Thank you,

I went to your linked page, right clicked on the video, then selected 'Properties'. It said it used a 'Windows Media Video V7' codec. It should play in Windows Media Player or GOM Player. You might need to update your version of Windows Media Player.

I was also able to download it by putting the URL from the properties page: http://www.marleyturned.com/Videos/LagunaBeachVase1-07.WMV into the IE address line and clicking the 'Go' button there and download it to my computer.

    Thanks redwudz

That was the problem. The funny thing is that it would play in WMP if I downloaded the file but would not play if accessed on the website. Much appreciated.
