i recently formatted and installed wp pro/w sp2 on an emachines w3052 machine that previously had xp home on it, and now i cant see the net work device on the mother board. I dont wanna go out and buy another network card to fix this problem. Can anyone offer any advice on this.
Also, how do i find the driver for the windows xp pro sm bus controller. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pay a visit to the computer's manufacturer website, normally, there is a download area where you can just download the drivers.
You may also type in google something like:
"emachines w3052 drivers", or another nonsense similar to that.

Listen....the network device is not even showing up in device manager, maybe because i i nstalled xp pro, and even if it did pick it up, the drivers for it are not on that site....how can i find the sm bus controller device driver?
