Every time I use SVCD2DVD to convert 700Mb avi to DVD the DVD ends before the movie ends. The SD2.mpg is also shorter than the avi. If the movie has a lot of titles at the end I lose them. If not I miss the end of the movie. I've tried freeing more disk space (from 12Gb to 30Gb) but still the same result. I've put latest log below.

Use VirtualDub to "scan video stream for errors" and see if the source avi has a problem.
You say every time, how many files has this happened on? Have you had other avi conversions that finished properly?Dwight

Your hard drives are formatted as FAT32. The maximum size for a FAT32 file is 4gig. Your .mpg files is attempting to exceed that size and can't and so your movie is shortened. Reformat your drives to NTFS and the problem will go away.

Thanks guys, so simple that I missed it...

Thanks everyone, I'll change to NTFS and try again. Amazing what a bit of knowledge does.
