Easy answer, the Divx or Xvid codec. You make the video settings in the codec adjustments. Audio is separate and in the audio adjustment section.

Or are you asking about a different MPEG-4 codec?

  4. Do it in VDub, using the Resize filter. Video->Filters->Add->Resize.

That is because Xvid is just a codec. Resizing, etc. doesn't belong in a codec (yes I know DivX has it).

If you use VDub to resize, then it means converting to RGB24 (assuming that the source isn't already).

I have just started using DivX/Xvid, are there standards for these formats, for frame size, and audio? So far i have been using 640 x 480 at about 800 - 1000kbps, with MP3 for the audio, 128kbps & 48hz. But I would rather use a standard if any exists.

    Thanks
