I have converted a d/l avi to mpg using virtualdub and then have encoded and split using tmpg- I have burned a vcd using nero 5.5 and I have an out of sync audio problem. My audio is a few seconds ahead of the video but everything else looks fine on my dvd player! Just getting this far has been a challenge- My question is when I try to do a simple de-multiplex using TMPG -mpeg tools I hit "run" and the hourglass timer on windoes comes up and stays there forever!
I can't start the run because its just seems hung up with the hourglass- can somebody tell me what the problem is and how to correct it so I can sync up ther audio with the video
Thanks

First i almost know for sure you cut the avi with v-dub, not with TMPGenc, and converted with TMPGenc.
To avoid audio go out of sync, before encoding to Mpg with TMPGenc, open up V-dub, open the movie and save the wav. Use this wav in TMPGenc instead of the audio-file from the movie. This probably will sync it.

rtclac is correct...but if you cannot go back or don't want to ,you can follow this method:
