I am simply trying to convert some VOB files to .avi. I accomplished this with no problem using AutoGK. The problem is when I watch the .avi on my TV, it does not completely fill the screen (4:3).

The original files I am converting from are 720X480 and are 4:3. I have AutoGK set for a fixed width of 640 and I am choosing a file size of 350MB for a 44 minute show. All other settings are default. The final size after converting to .avi is 640X480. I am not sure exactly what this all means. All I know is that it does not fit my 4:3 screen. It's off by a inch or two on either side of the screen.

    Any suggestions please....

Try changing your output resolution to "auto width" ... preserve the 720x480 and your player *should* make the calculation that will change it to 640 upon playback, just as a regular DVD.
