  1. Hello,

I would be grateful if anyone can identify the connector in the attached photo.

It may be a hybrid - i.e., the connector itself may be truly circular but the surrounding plastic is "keyed" in a somewhat irregular hexagonal way. The scale divisions are millimeters.

    Thanks!

it is a mil spec looking apx cannon connector of some sort without the locking shell - or a neutrik connector -- it looks like neutrik type plastic , like a 5 pin XLR

or a nema connector (looks to big for a nema) or a pluh connector or an AT connector ...

what didi it come from and i could narrow it down ..

Thanks for replying - I'm feverishly Googling your suggestions!

The connector is from a "power nugget" - a 6-cell NiMH battery pack for a Light And Motion Industries underwater video housing. The packs were made for LMI by a third-party and discontinued them. Unfortunately, the original packs sat in storage for about 6 years and suffered as a result. I opened one up to find out what cells were used and have successfully had replacements made (cheapbatterypacks.com). Thing is, I have two packs and one charger. So I want to get a general purpose NiCd/NiMH peak charger (I have some other NiCd packs) and, ideally, I'd like to create a connecting cable with the same connector. I don't really want to just poke a couple of pins in there!

might have to replace male and female .....

http://www.aldenproducts.com/ (AMPHENOL ALDEN PRODUCTS) ( lot of good connectors )... so does neutrik (and easier to buy/find)

--- btw the layout is not exactly 5 pin xlr (though otherwise sizewise and shape wise - it is close) ..
