    Hey guys,

I made a video out of a slideshow from MovieMaker, and saved it in .wmv format, (2.1 Mbps NTSC). I'm trying to convert it to DVD format so that I can play it on my player. I'm having a lot of trouble using WinAVI and Avi2DVD, and I think it must be because of the video format/codec. When I try using WinAVI, it just won't start conversion, remaining at 0:00:00. When I try using Avi2DVD, it gives me an error that goes something like "Access violation in module...etc"

I tried using FFDSHOW on another computer, WinAVI still didn't work, but Avi2DVD did load, only to give me the error "Floating point division by zero" when starting the conversion.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks a bunch,

    Alex T

    [EDIT]:

After a while of doing nothing (on 0:00:00), WinAVI gives the error: "Find a NAV file dismatch, DVD Creator maybe can not run. Length=1, Item=0"

Rather than saving to Windows own wmv format, you should have saved to something more mainstream. For best quality for conversion to DVD, DV-AVI would be about the best.

Assuming you still have the project saved in Moviemaker, open it again and save as DV-AVI this time. Then use that to convert to DVD.

It did convert this time, but there still remains a problem. Once saved in DV-AVI format, the video is very choppy. It's fixed once converted to DVD format, but when burned to a DVD and played on a player, it is again very choppy.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
