Is there software that will let me put 3 photos in a scanner, and the software will split and straighten them into single photos?
    Thanks

  2. If the software bundled with you scanner doesn't allow this then Silver fast will do multi-up or multi-exposure scanning.

I know it's expensive but Adobe Photoshop has a photmerge which will join multiple images together to form a single image.

You also have a massive array of tools to play with the finished image.
    This for example

was made by joining 6 overlapping pictures together.

That's the opposite of what I need.
I want to place 3 photos in the scanner.
I want some software that will straighten them if they are crooked.
Then I want the software to separate the 3 images into three seperate photos.
I just need a quick way to scan hundreds of photos
    Thanks

  5. Other than Silver Fast I don't know of any quick/simple/inexpensive or free scanning software that will do it.

    What scanner are you using?

A work around would be to scan all your images, 3 each to a scan. Make 2 copies of the folder you scanned too so you have 3 sets. Then crop the images in each folder using a batch tool. EX: Crop them for the top image in the first set, crop them for the second image in the second set... etc. When you're done you'll have all seperate images so you can do a batch auto straighten and crop.

Irfanview should take care of the batch cropping for you, Photoimapct is one image editor that Iknow will do batch auto straighten and crop.
