    Hello,

I notice quite a lot of users using this program nowadays, but I don't see much discussion about it. And there's no discussion forum on the developer's webpage.

So, I hope someone could help me out here. This is the last place I can think of where I might get an adequate answer.

Anyway, my problem is that when I open a file with the program it plays fine, I can manually capture screenshots here and there, but the problem is when I want to do this automatically, where you set how many snapshots you want and it captures them at a regular intervals. That's when my system hangs down and at first it's totally irresponsive, but after a minute, with long pauses I manage to End Process from the Task Manager.

What could be the problem ? I don't see how it works manually, but it doesn't work automatically.

    Thanks for any information!

Does it happen with all video files you open?

    Another method using Virtualdub-mpeg2,
    Open the video..
Under Video->FrameRate change under Frame rate conversion to for example Decimate by: 100 to save every 100 frame from the video.
Last select File->Save Image Sequence to save screenshots.

Yeah, it happens for all files. It is especially weird is it works for for others with the same files.

Thank you for the VDubMPEG2 technique, but I liked making thumbnails (is that what they're called?) of the screenshots. And with IG II you can set the background, file information as size/bitrate/etc. And also you can position them however you see fit. Quite customizable, it's only that it causes this problem.
