  1. I decided to post this cuz haven't found a solution for this yet... I own a Schecter BlackJack and a Fender 112 SE Amp... I always had buzzing in my amp but since I am not a very technical person just thought it was normal... Then last Saturday I played at a small club and the technician that was setting us up, getting levels etc, said that the buzzing was abnormal... He suggested that I get Monster cables which I did get... Now here's the strange part... When I connected the Monster cable to my amp I got the buzzing again... In short, if I don't have any cables connected to my amp there's no buzzing whatsoever... So I think it's some kind of interference, maybe with my setup I guess... I also have two powerstrips (yes I plug in a bunch of pedals, but the problem happens by me just pluggin in direct, without any pedals)... So, is there any help out there for this particular problem?

Check for grounding problems, probably with the jack you plug your cord into.

  3. the chord is a monster cable I just bought and I've even plugged into other electrical outlets so I know that it might be a grounding problem not as simple as just checking the jack since there's two and both do the same thing

Take it to a authorized/qualified service location. The solution to your problem is almost certainly going to entail opening the unit and replacing components or at least resoldering connections.

Edit: By the way, there's nothing magic about Monster cables. They aren't any better than other, far less expensive brands and they have comparable failure rates too.

  5. ok, thanks... I will try to do that although I feel that it might just end up costing me a bundle and not fix the problem at all... after all, it's an "authorized dealer"... and it's also fender... but thanks anyway, I might just try that.
