Looking for a app to make jacket pictures

I am looking for an app to EASILY make jacket pics. Is there a program that I can view the video of a disc, take a screen shot, save that screen and the program automatically make the appropriate folder with the jacket pictures? Am I asking too much? Yes, Im lazy, lol. If it could add DVD text and let you edit existing text, that would be a plus. I am sure I am not the only person out there with a changer that would like to do JUST those two things to an existing dvd author and then burn it. God, I wish I was smart, lol.

Yes, you are lazy. Virtualdub or VLC or MPC can grab the stills. Gimp can resize them if you don't have an alternate graphics app. I haven't seen a player or commercial disc that has or uses the jacket folder. It seems a pointless addition to me.

Guess you dont have a changer. I have a Sony and it both uses the pictures and allows you to take them with the changer. Only problem with using the changer to do it, if you remove the disc and put it back in later, it does not remember the pic. Plus the pic is so small, you can barely see it. Dr. Zhivago I bought for my mother is a perfect example of a disc that has a picture jacket. When you stop or pause the disc, it puts it full screen and it auto populates the small sony picture, so you dont have to do it manually. I know there is not alot of use for it besides people that use changers. But it would be nice to have a program especially for this, but hey, Im lazy, lol.

I just want to bitch a little, so if you dont want to hear it, move on, lol. With all the geniuses, which I am NOT one, out there, you would think someone could develop a freaking easy, point and click, jacket picture program. One that asks you what picture you want to use, makes the pictures and folder and thats all it really needs to do. Now if it was fancy, it could capture a frame from the DVD, but that would just be icing on the cake. Now Im sure Im not the only person that wishes someone would add this function to an app or make a stand alone app because of the complexity of making them (to the average person, it is complex, not to the gurus here). Anyway, im done bitching, but not done wishing!!
