Music and photo autoplay DVD

I would like to create an autoplay DVD that will display a sequence of JPEGs while a stereo audio playlist is in progress. No syncing required. Randomness would be a great enhancement. Any simple tools do this?

Nope.

A straight slideshow type effect is easy, and there are plenty of apps to do this. memories on TV is one example, but there are plenty of others.

True random play cannot be done because the DVD spec doesn't allow for audio to play across title breaks. You could author a number of different versions of the slideshow, and then have a pseudo random choice of which one plays. DLP could do this.
