I opened disk utility and used the new image from folder item to create an image. I used cd/dvd master option. It worked perfect. But when I burned the new image to disk, it burned but when I insert it, it will not play on my dvd player. I have to double click it and play it on my vlc player. How do I create a dvd to play in dvd player.

You created a "data" DVD, not a "video" DVD. Neither Disk
Utility nor Finder will burn in the proper UDF format.

Toast or Popcorn will do so.

You have to create the iso from the VIDEO_TS folder with DVD Imager then Disk Utility will burn it in the proper format (Toast or Burn will work too).
