I bought this on ebay and it came the other day. I love it! The live action is lame but the cartoons are great

I'm thinking of getting the Zelda cartoons as well.

    Ah the good times

I remember that show. I hated it, except on Fridays when they played the Zelda cartoon. I'm sure it wouldn't hold up to my expectations today but I remember liking it as a kid.

Interesting Yoda.....you got these off ebay? Are there any still available?

I still have the original VHS versions I recorded back when they first aired....on a cheap 2-head VCR. Granted I still have them but the quality defintiely isnt great. I have been longing the day that I will be able to get better quality videos of these, but of course I haven't been able to find them anywhere.

Oh these should be available brand new at a store. I got mine with the shrink wrap on. Real copies not home made dubs.

I hope that they release the SMB3 episodes too at some point. Do you know the company that is distributing the DVD's Yoda?

    Found it Yoda. Thanks!

@Unicron, this is a set that I will be keeping. I used to have Netflix 4 years ago but I dont deal with them anymore....plus its one less bill to deal with every month. Besides, they may not have the 4 disc set to rent.

I was at Best Buy yesterday and found the Zelda cartoons. $26!!! I wasn't going to buy them for that price. Maybe I'll try ebay later if I want them. Right now I'm having fun with the mario cartoons.

A few. An interview with Lou Albano. Some trailers for other tv shows.

Plus each disc has artwork from the cartoons.

I just gotten my boxset in today via UPS. And though I havent watched them yet, I have a feeling that some of the episodes have the edited/changed music from the ones that originally aired. Like "Danger Zone" and "Jingle Bell Rock", and "Weird Science" were cut and replaced with some instrumental stuff in later airings.

In a somewhat unrelated note I read that in one SMB3 cartoon episode "Kootie Pie Koopa Rocks" they took out the song based from Milli Vanilli after their fiasco...good thing I still have that original uncut episode as well.

I think that would be my only minor gripe as far as the DVD set goes but other than that it's awesome! Good thing that I still have the episodes with the original songs on the VHS tapes I did them on when they first aired.

I think it really sucks though when copyright gets in the way of decent DVD entertainment.

I have heard that the other half of the episodes of this DVD set will come out later this year. If that's true then I am going to get that as well.

What do you mean by that? Is that a second season set? I mean there are 20 some episodes on this set.

And despite your concern about missing music pieces I didn't even notice. Well either way you'll enjoy the set.

I might still buy the Zelda cartoons if I sell some more stuff on ebay. Not worth $26 for a dozen or so episodes.

There are a total of 52 episodes of the original SMB cartoon series. This 4-disc set has 24 episodes so you still have 28 more episodes left. Most of them I have on VHS, but if they will come out on another DVD set soon containing the other half that would be great because I will buy those too.

As for the music it's no big deal, but after watching the original eps with the original music so many times over the years when I saw them again years later I had noticed that they were replaced with instrumental music. I tend to notice some differences quite easily.

As of now i'm watching the first disc, and so far im luvin it!

    BUMP!

Well I broke down and bought the ZELDA set. Very Nice

I'm thinking someday I might rework it to make the dvd set complete by mixing in the original SMB episodes with the zelda cartoons.

Does anyone have a list of when the original epsiodes aired? I'd like to do the 4 smb cartoons then the zelda cartoon and repeat until the series is laid out like it originally aired...

TV.com is often wrong with many shows. Seeing as how Zelda aired as part of the SMB Super Show, those guides are also not correct.

I hate it when people separate episodes into several parts and call shorts or portions "episodes". Idiots. They do that with Smurfs and Baby Looney Tunes and several others. It's wrong.
