Hi, I'm having problems playing back Divx movies on my 3455H player.

-I have burned a DVD with some divx movies on it and when I put it into the player, the player will read the disc and show the names of the movies available, but will not play them and come up weith a message "video file not supported".

I think im doing something wrong in the burning process, but I have no idea what it is. Can someone piont me in the right direction with what i should do? ie. what codecs/burning software should i use?

  2. This site is about the Philips DVP-642 but much of the information there applies to other Divx/DVD players:

If you are using Nero Burning ROM use the DVD-ROM (ISO) template. Keep your files under 2GB each. The fact that the player displayed the names of the files probably indicates you burned the disks properly. There's probably something about the files that it didn't like.
