    My Vaio laptop has a s-video out but im not sure the correct cable to get. I want to connect to the tv to watch video clips from my hard drive via the yellow/white/red (rca i think) if there is such a thing as a s-video to rca?


    Whats the correct cable?

    Yes. Most computers or display cards come with an S-Video to composite adapter. You can buy one at computer stores or online.

    Are you sure your TV connector is just 4 pin S-Video? Newer models have 7 or 9 pin multi-format connectors.

    NVidia laptop chipsets now use 9 pin adapters.

    I have s-video & hdmi out but the tv i want to connect to doesn't have a hdmi port
