Well...I have a MKV video which has incorrect ratio. When you view it, the character has a long wide face(the whole character get squeezed it seems to be) but I just wanna correct the ratio. How can I do that. I have used MKVextractor to extract all the files and then use MKVmerge, but the MKVmerge doesn't recognize the extracted file done with MKVextractor, which is the file named track1.h264 and track1 for the audio. What can I do now to correct the video ratio?

Try MKVExtractGUI to get the contents out, then MKVMerge to put them all back again.

  3. Rename the tracks track1.264 and track1.aac (or whatever extension is appropriate for the audio type).

And make your life simpler by turning on the display of file extensions in Explorer. Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> Hide extensions for known file types (disable).

But how can you change the video ratio? I have tried the MKVmerge and try the ratio function, but the outcome is the same as the original without changing the video ratio.

  5. In MkvMerge click on the h.264 track. Below, click on the Format Specific Options tab. Set the Aspect Ratio. The h.264 track may have it's own internal aspect ratio flags so the MKV header AR settin gmay not work.

I have been looking around and searching on the net but I don't find any tutorial that shows you how to resize the video in MKV or resize the ratio and if anybody does know how please write a tutorial for it, that would be greatly appreciated.
