I'm having issues burning some movie image files. I've burned 4 movie image files to dvd and only one will successfully play on my Panasonic S35. I havent done anything different during the burning process nor used different blank dvd's. Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be wrong? Or any information I should provide that can aid in my problem solving? Is it something to do with Pal/NTSC?? Or is there a difference between .iso and .img files?

You will need to provide more details if you want a proper answer.

What type of movie image files...dvd, vcd, svcd, mpeg or? What is the extension of the image file? How did you burn them and with what tool? Do they play on your computer with a software dvd player? What does your dvd player say about the disk? Does it recognize it at all?

Did you burn them all at the same time, or did you burn them over time using multiple sessions ?

Ok, one was a movie VOB file, which burned fine via Nero Express' "burn dvd-video files" function. That DVD plays on my computer through all DVD playing software, but not on my home DVD player, Toshiba S35.
Two of the four movie files were .img files and also played on my computer but not on my home dvd player. They were burned with Alcohol 120%.
The fourth was an .iso I believe. It successfully played on my computer and my home dvd player, flawlessly. This was also burned with Alcohol 120%.
My home dvd player didn't give any messages about the bad dvd's, simply showed some mucked up lines scrolling across a black screen but the sound was going in the background, slightly.
I used DVDinfopro to create .iso files of the VOB and .img files and reburned them, but with the same results.
DVDinfopro has a function that will provide me with details of the dvd's, but I don't know what to look for that would point out a problem for me.
Any more info, I will provide, but if anyone can help me out or has any ideas, that would be great.
Would the whole PAL/NTSC thing bea problem? I know my dvd player is a region 1 NTSC player. Might these non-working dvd's be PAL rips?vDVDinfopro indicates that they work in all regions.

That does sound like a PAL VS NTSC issue, that they play fine on your computer also points to this.

In addition, like MJA mentioned, ImgBurn is a great freeware burning program.

Thank you all for your help, but my dumbass has figured it that it is in fact an NTSC/PAL issue. I was ignorant when aquiring these images, but I just figured it out. Thank you.
Now, my question is, can a PAL iso be converted to a NTSC iso?

That's a question that has been asked a lot here, if you do a search, you'll find a bunch of info. What I found easiest, buy a standalone DVD player that will convert them for you. LG, Oppo, Philips and a bunch of others make them, some can be had for well under $100(Lg & Philips, not OPPO).

Looks like there are a few region free hacks for your panasonic dvd player on that link. Might be worth a shot.
