  1. Hi! i have copied some home movie footage onto my pc using shrink to crop and pick out the best bits but the problem is the transition between each scene pauses so what programme will open VTS files so i can add transitions, the programme needs to be simple to use as i am new to this editing thing.

    Not many editors supports dvd vobs directly. But you can try mpeg video wizard...not the easiest tool though. Or convert the dvd vob to one mpeg with vob2mpg and try Windows Movie Maker.

  3. I've managed to edit it with windows movie maker with good results but it does'nt let you burn to DVD only CD is there a programme that will let be burn my windows movie maker projects to DVD.

    Save as DV video from WMM.
    Encode to DVD mpg with your fav mpeg2 encoder (see tools left for suggestions - hcenc for a good free alternative)
    Author as DVD with your fav DVD authoring app (see tools left for suggestions - TDA for example)

    Mpeg video wizard cool thing. It works with VOB's. You can edit them (cut, Transitions, etc).
