  1. Can someone please ponit me in the direction or show how to frameserve from virtualdub to either Procoder 2.0 or TMPGEnc Express 4.0. I tried using Sefy's guide on this site but could not get either one to work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Where specifically are you having the problem? Make sure you run the Auxsetup.exe file in the VirtualDub folder before you try ANY frame serving. Also, please be aware that frameserving in this manner is Slowwwwwwwwwwww.

  3. Thanks Soopafresh for the reply. I did what you suggested in the beginning by running Auxsetup.exe and saving the file with vdr extension. However when I open Procoder and navigate the folder where the vdr file is, it does not show in the dialog box as one of the files that can be loaded into Procoder.. Even when I use the drop down box where all the various extensions are, vdr extension is not included. There is also no option for "All files" in the dialog box so the file with .vdr extension cannot be loaded into Procoder. This is basically my problem. Once again any help will be greatly appreciated.

I fully agree i wth you that it is very slow method as I downloaded a trial version of CCE and it took forever using VirtualDub to frameserve the clip. I would also appreciate any advice. info or suggestion as to how to speed it up.

Thanks again Soopafresh for the reply

    Frameserve using AVISynth.

  5. seekninfo,

If I remember correctly Procoder will open files with an avs extension. Install the latest edition of avisynth from the tools section, then save your vdub file with an avs extension instead of vdr. Let us know if that works.

Yes indeed. Avisynth is the way to go.

Laddydaddy, I rename the .vdr extensions to .avi which works...hmm... maybe .avs would as well.

  7. Soopafresh, Laddydaddy, and Manono, thanks very much for your assistance. Indeed renaming the file with an avs extension did work for Procoder and also the trial CCE which I had downloaded. The CCE was signifiantly faster than the Procoder 2.0 I guess I now have to start learning how to use Avisynth.

Thanks again for your assistance. As I have said in another forum the members of this board are the bomb.
