I'm looking for recomendations on converting XviD to WMV or WMV-HD. I'm not sure which of the WMV's I should use. My XviD source has surround sound via ac3 at 448 kb/s, which I want to keep, and the video quality is 960x528 with 1870kb/s bitrate which I also want to keep.

Looking at the chart here, https://www.videohelp.com/svcd, I think I want to keep wmv-hd. But if I'm not going to see much of a difference, wmv would work. Maybe I should just try both and compare?

Anways.. any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    BlackNoir

Convert to 960x528 wmv. It will almost be wmvhd(720p/1080p). You can try Windows Media Encoder.

  3. I think you can't keep 5.1 ac3 in wmv.
