Camcorder info has done a first impressions review:

A version with a hard drive employing the HDV codec would be nice. It would likely eliminate drop out concerns.

I like the idea that it is a tape system.
If I go on vacation and fill up my HD what am I to do unless I pack along my server to dump all of that footage into. -
Some HC7 footage has already appeared at www.listvideo.com .
