DVD and CD drive descriptions different in My Computer and Device Manager

Hi,
After a re installation of Win XP the descriptions of my DVD an CD drives are listed differently in My Computer and the Device Manager. I have a Lite-on DVDRW LH-18A1P and a Lite-on CDRW LTR-48246S which are listed correctly in the Drive Manager. In My computer the drives are listed as DVD-Ram Drive and CD-RW Drive. If I remember correctly the drives were listed by the Lite-on description in My Computer and the Device Manager. Is there a way to change the description in My Computer?

In my computer right click on one of the drives and select properties ... under the general tab you can type any name you wish that drive to be shown as ... click apply then ok .... repeat for the other drive .... the drives will now show in my computer as whatever you typed

I can do this with my hard drives but I am unable to type any text doing the same with the DVD a CD drives

That is how they should appear. The name will change when a disc is inserted, but it will change to what is listed on the disc label.
