  1. error code: C00D10D2

I'm trying to rip a cd into a 128kbps mp3 files, but I keep getting an error that says one or more tracks can't be ripped. Happens with every CD. I can rip to higher kbps bitrates, but not 128kbps. I tried the registry value change that was on microsoft's website, but that didn't help. I tried going back to media player 10 and it still didn't work.

  2. There are probably better solutions, but here's one that sometimes works . . . .

Does it actually play on the computer ? If it will, you could record it with Audacity, then make it into an Mp3 with Switch Audio Converter.

  3. I'd try CDEX instead. It uses LameMP3 to encode, a different engine that what WMP uses.

  4. I don't have problems playing any files. I just wanted to be able to rip to 128kbsp with windows media player.

I'm having the same exact problem. I can easily rip to WMA, but not MP3. And I can play any format. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Looked for updates. Yada yada yada ... Still it doesn't work. I have no problem at all ripping to MP3 on version 10 which is still installed on my laptop. Just with version 11. If anyone knows anything on how to fix this (besides recommending another product) I'd love to know.

    Thanks,
    Stephen

Hmmmm... A Microsoft program that makes it harder to make an MP3 as opposed to their own WMA??? Windows Media Player isn't really designed to make MP3s, or at least good MP3s, and easily.

Poppa_Meth has a good suggestion, use CDEX. It's free, works great, and will convert to many different formats.

  8. I was getting the same exact problem, and I just tried changing the bit rate to anything above 128Kbps and now I can rip in mp3 format with no problem.
