Hello,
I have a movie that I'm trying to join together that I'm having problems with. I can't join them with VirtualDub because they have VBR audio, but when I load them into VDub-MP3-Freeze I get the following error:
Cannot append segment: the audio streams have different data formats.
Any ideas on how to get around this?
Thanks.

Using Avidemux -
Load your first clip
Set video to copy and audio to Lame
Hit the audio configure button and set the bitrate and choose CBR
Save the file
Repeat for second file
Load your first saved file
Hit CTRL+ALT+A and load your second saved file
Make sure audio and video are set to copy then save the file
You could also use Virtualdub, the process is much the same. He's a liar and a murderer, and I say that with all due respect. -
Avoid joining video with vbr audio because it often cause sync problems.
The error means that the audio in both has to be exact same or you can't join. You could reconvert the audio and join.
