I have a 772 MB wmv (and .asf, identical) tile that I want to convert to .avi. I use TMPGEnc and following doom9 guides, but it takes 8 hours to finish? Is there something wrong or a way to make it faster?
All I need is to demux it so I can make it into a DVD using DVD Lab, or convert it to a format that SVCD2DVD can use.
Help?
Thanks.

No way to know without more info. If you want maximum quality and have a slow machine, or have other open processes, it might take that long. I usually set up to do a long recode at night and turn off everything else and disconnect from the web if necessary.
