    Hi i have an xvid avi file which play fine but when i convert it to DVD using Nero Vision 4

    (I just add the file and click next to everything)

    When i play the DVD the sound is completly out of synch,

    Any ideas why this may be?

  4. Actually, I have sucessfully used Nero Vision 4 to convert AVI with mp3 vbr to DVD quite frequently (TV episodes d/led from net).

    I found the the sound goes out of sync when some of the editing cuts to remove commercials are defective. You can usually see this while playing the AVI. The screen will break up slightly and drop sound or something. The player will still have the video in sync but the Nero Vision 4 encoder does not handle the defect well.

    I usually go in and re-edit the edits (take out the bad parts). It may only amount to a few seconds or less but that ususally works. I encode with Nero Vision 4 and the sound stays in sync.
