I'm wondering if there is a bundle of audio somewhere with various sounds and pieces of music that I can add to my videos. For example, if I have a short video of something funny, I would like to add circus music; if I have something scary, some horror music. Is there some sort of software that comes with this type of thing, or do I have to start building my own collection (if so, how do you suggest I start). I know copyright can be an issue, so my next question would be, is there something that is open for use?

    Thanks!

  2. Here are a few sites where you can get free downloads of music and sound effects. There are loads more if you search. SoundDogs is another one but I'm not sure if you have to pay if you actually use any of their stuff

If you wish to sell your stuff down the road, it's standard practice to license the music. If not, I'd say anything is fair game for personal use. Then comes the internet...
