I'm clearly behind the times a bit, when it comes to software. I've been more into hardware these past couple of years.

Has anything come along that can extract video by IFO? Merged a/v, no demux. Like DVD Decrypter did, but less of a hassle to find, and less scary to grannies and other timid computer users (since it's a taboo program now).

I use TMPGEnc DVD Author combined with AnyDVD to import video straight from DVD's to a mpg file on my computer... When using 'Add DVD Video', you can choose to extract the file to disk (a/v muxed), or leave the source as the disc (and reauthor on the fly straight from the original disc). Select to preserve chapter marks if you might want to reauthor with TMPG while you're there.. You also choose the 1 audio track you want, and it'll make you a dvd compliant mpg ready for authoring, converting, demuxing, etc. Maybe a convoluted way to do it, but I already for the tools, and it works..

I don't author with TDA. Large non-TDA audience out there.

Waiting on a merged program (that's stable and works) that will demux both HD and Blu-Ray before laying out any money.
