  1. Ok I get anomalies when I encode a 480X480 movie at 480X480! I got an SVCD so I converted it into a format that TMPGENC could use with DVD2AVI. The resolution of the SVCD is at 480X480 so I thought It would be better to use 480X480 instead of the VCD res which was I was going to make. The anomalies appear in motion and they are sharp horizontal lines across the moving objects. I've tried all the settings in the damn program to fix it, like deinterlace and some of the others but the only way I can get it to go away is use the crappy VCD resolution which looks awful. Whats going on?

  2. Ok I only see the anomalies when I use mediaplayer and other PC players! When I play it on my DVD player it skips a lot and makes popping noises but it doesn't have the anomalies! What is going on! It runs fine on mediaplayer except for the anomalies and on my dvd player it skips and freaks out and doesnt have the anomalies. Just doesnt make any sense

  3. The "anomalies" are interlacing, it sounds like you dvd player is choking on the bitrate.

  4. Hmmm I fixed it. Tmpgenc just didn't like it I guess. I encoded it with Flask and now it works fine. It starts skipping towards the end of the movie though so I don't know what the problem is.
