    I believe that somewhere I read (in the long-gone manual or mebbe online) that clicking the DEFAULT setting buried in the onscreen menu (in this case an old ILO) restored all the factory settings- including firmware.

    Anyone know for sure if this is true?

    I seriously doubt it will change the firmware - just the user configurable settings of the firmware.

    As to the old ilo.
    Setting to Defalt will Not Change the firmware. just the unit Settings
