Don't know. If the hack required you to enter a number 0 (for all regions) you could try replacing that with a 2. You could also try to downgrade the firmware to an older version. I cannot guarantee you that either method will work or that your player won't be ruined by attempting to do this.

Why do you need to do this?

  3. Thanks for your answer.
I need it because I have no audio through the home theather speakers just over HDMI in my TV when playind DVDs or Blurays. I don't know if it was caused by the region hack or it is just a normal malfunction, either way if I send it to Philips for warranty repair I fear they will say it was caused by the region hack and then won't be covered by warranty service, that's whay I want to bring it back to its original condition before sending it for repair....

Your audio problem may be something you can fix in the settings on your BluRay player and you may not need to try to change the region back to 2. But I have to admit that you have a good reason for wanting to do this.

That's a good reason to set it back to region 2....

  6. I have tried changing audio configuration options but it didnt help, I am sure it has to be a malfunction because audio comes and goes while watching dvds or bluray discs, but most of the time there is no audio at all
